David Lillywhite

Mr. Lillywhite is the Managing Partner of Summit Capital.  Summit currently holds investments in the financial services, industrial, natural resources and healthcare sectors. Previously, Mr. Lillywhite co-founded and was the CEO of Summit Energy, an energy marketing and services firm which was sold to a strategic buyer in 2014. Mr. Lillywhite is a member of the board of Gravity Capital, Choice Recovery, Summit Resources, and Alta Rock. Prior to founding Summit Energy, Mr. Lillywhite was a Managing Director at Wasatch Energy. Mr. Lillywhite holds a B.A. in Finance from Utah State University and an MBA from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University.

Jeff Thatcher

Jeff Thatcher serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Alta Rock USA and serves on the Summit Investment Committee. Prior to joining Summit in 2002, Mr. Thatcher was employed by Spectrum Industrial Products.  Mr. Thatcher holds a B.A. in Finance and Economics from Utah State University and an M.B.A. from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University.

Jack Simper

Jack Simper serves as the Chief Operations Officer and Controller for Alta Rock USA and serves on the SCP Investment Committee. Mr. Simper has extensive operational, accounting, and finance experience in the construction and oil and gas industries.  Mr. Simper helped found Summit and as worked in various capacities within the portfolio companies. Mr. Simper holds a B.A. in Finance and Economics from Utah State University.

Matthew Peterson

Matthew is the Director of Investments at Summit Capital. Mr. Peterson has the unique experience of having been both a successful entrepreneur and investor. Prior to joining Summit Mr. Peterson owned a business service company. Under his leadership the company doubled in sales and profitability and was ultimately sold to a strategic buyer. Prior to business ownership, Mr. Peterson was a Vice President at Utah Capital where he made and managed investments in top-tier venture capital and private equity funds. Prior to Utah Capital, Mr. Peterson was a Vice President at IndustryPro, a middle market Investment Bank, where he raised over $300MM in private equity and debt financing for clients. Mr. Peterson holds a B.A in Finance from the University of Utah and an MBA from the University of Utah.
